If you look very closely, here is a rare sighting of a Ripstick in the wild, not sure why there is an FBI agent in the background though

cant believe the ripstick took neary 6 months to sell ,what did it fetch in the end? it first started at £350

It’s the 1979 U.K. Championships at Kelvingrove in Glasgow, Fergal Sharkey there is a lot going on in that photo, men in bushes etc

But looking help identifying this truck 8” truck hangar which I believe to be 70’s due to the rest of the set up.

Also somebody correct me but are these the pointier 8” Lazer baseplates rather than the slalom ones.

Will probably trade or sell some bits of this if anyone’s interested , but keeping the deck and would like to end up with one matching set of wheels

Yes that's a cool deck I like the shape of it and the wheel wells and quite a cool graphic , can't help with the trucks but no doubt punkboy will know

ill try my best lol,the lazer base plates are just the standard revised ones,not 8" versions
as for the hanger i think its a very rare skitch hitchcock one,they made 3 diff trucks i think,the small freestyle ones were completely different but the wider ones look identical to yours,they are that rare i could only find a couple of pics so hope that helps you

Just wondering apart from the the extended point was there a difference between the slalom and 8” bases

When I think back the MK2 8” had a kingpin with a dimple or hole possibly for an Allen key on the top and the large bottom grommet rather than the hex bolt and lock nut.

Later they changed the geometry when they introduced the 9”

I don’t want searching for 10 years for two 8” hangars for them not to fit, I’m going to have hard enough search for a Hitchcock baseplate
